We are looking for talented, engaging, and compassionate coaches for our Middle School Track and Field Program to help us advance our vision of being an inclusive community of learners that provides an outstanding education for each individual in a diverse student population. We need coaches who understand best practices in their respective sport and are passionate about coaching and enhancing student life.
Middle School practices are up to three days a week, with one competition each week. The Middle School season runs approximately six to eight weeks.
- Knowledge of the given sport and teaches appropriate fundamentals, techniques, skills, and encourages players’ individual progress with an emphasis on promoting teamwork and strategic development.
- Is responsible for the supervision and the health and safety of the student‑athletes.
- Articulates a well‑defined and understandable coaching philosophy surrounding the development of the student‑athletes, culture building, and competitive play.
- Applies developmentally appropriate and age appropriate methods to coaching student‑athletes.
- Emphasizes sportsmanship and leadership among athletes.
- Clearly communicates to players, parents, administrators, and staff.
- Positively motivates athletes and promotes teamwork.
- Attends all meetings and training as required by the league and/or Athletic Director.
- Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents.
- Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Availability between the hours of 3 PM to 6 PM.
Middle School Division: Programming for Middle School teams is three days a week, which includes competition.
Salary stipend for Assistant Coach is $2,500 – $2,500, depending on experience. This Part‑Time position does not qualify for fringe benefits.
RequiredEducation & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated competence and experience in coaching.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.
Completion of all WIAA certifications.
Successful candidates must be able to pass a fingerprint background check as a contingency of employment.
