Position: Middle School Teacher Pool 2026-2027, St. Brendan, Bothell
Overview
St. Brendan Catholic School is seeking teaching candidates for the school year applicant pool. St. Brendan Catholic School is located in Bothell, WA (25 minutes from Seattle, WA). We have one class per grade in preschool through 8th grade with a total of 255 students. The mission of St. Brendan Catholic School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, is to educate and empower students to act as Disciples of Christ, pursue academic excellence, and serve the Church and global community.
We have an active parent community as well as a supportive and engaging parish priest who enjoys spending time in the school. Our teacher candidates will work in collaboration with our dynamic, fun, and engaging middle school team.
Candidates must be practicing Catholics who are committed to sharing our Catholic faith with students and guiding students to achieve high academic standards. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree (preferably in education). A teaching certificate is preferred but we will consider highly motivated individuals who are in the process of obtaining a teaching certificate. Candidates should have good organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with principal in implementing the mission of the Parish and School. This is accomplished by participating in planning, implementation, and evaluation of the school s goals and objectives. The teacher is a member of the school staff and is a professional resource in designed educational specialties. Participates in regional and deanery collaborative efforts as approved and appropriate.Assure the planning and implementation of instructional programs and activities that further the Catholic philosophy and goals of the school. The teacher ensures that the classroom atmosphere fosters knowledge of the Catholic faith, development of appropriate ethical choices, Catholic faith development and Christian leadership, and integrates Gospel values in daily classroom activity.Use flexible, inclusive instructional strategies and adapt appropriate accommodations to ensure access, engagement, and success for diverse learners.Establish and sustain strong partnerships with parents through consistent and meaningful communication.Assure the selections and organization of curriculum and instruction materials. The teacher adapts methods and materials to accommodate learner differences and plans for both long term and short-term instructional goals.Assure the development of a process for learning by presenting a clear description of the learning task and its content. The teacher instructs students, monitors student understanding and reteaches when necessary.Assure the evaluations of students progress. This is accomplished through the interpretation of data and the monitoring of classroom performance. The teacher utilizes this information to improve the quality of instruction. The teacher maintains accurate and current individual records of the student s academic progress and shares this information with both the student and the parent.Assure the creation and maintenance of a positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning. The teacher establishes and maintains appropriate behaviors and develops strategies to resolve conflict using the Positive Discipline and Love & Logic approach.Assure effective oral and written communication with school administration, fellow faculty members, parents and students.Maintain current level of knowledge and skills required to effectively serve as a teacher and seek continuing education.Ability to successfully integrate technology and STEM into instruction.Implement student support plans that provide accommodations and modifications for students with diverse learning needs.Encourage parents as the primary educators in faith of their children and support parents in this important responsibility.Work toward (and eventually attain) the Seattle Archdiocese s catechetical certification.Maintain all clearances with CICS and the Safe Environment Program.Ability to teach online or in a hybrid model if necessary.Salary & Benefits

Salary:
The salary range for this position is from $55,000-$75,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
