• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based English Language Arts instruction, including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and speaking/listening.
• Design lessons that promote critical thinking, discussion, and close reading of diverse texts.
• Foster a love of reading and writing through intentional literacy instruction and classroom culture.
• Integrate Catholic values and social teaching into literature studies, writing, and classroom dialogue.

• Use data from assessments and student work to inform instruction and support growth.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

• Communicate regularly and professionally with families regarding student progress and expectations.
• Collaborate with grade-level and middle school colleagues to support student success and alignment.
• Participate actively in school-wide faith experiences, assemblies, professional development, and community events.
• Maintain accurate grading, lesson plans, and student records.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Washington State teaching certification or ability to obtain.
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of Holy Family School.
• Practicing Catholic preferred (or strong respect for Catholic teachings and values).
• Strong background in literacy instruction and adolescent learning.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Middle school or upper elementary ELA teaching experience preferred.

Range $45,000–$75,000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
