Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Teacher Assistant to join our team. As a Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support the educational and developmental needs of students. Your role will involve assisting in the planning and implementation of lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students during classroom activities.
  • Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students with assignments, projects, and homework as needed.
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
  • Assist in assessing and documenting student progress and performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with parents, guardians, and other staff members.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in education or related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational software and tools.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the classroom.
  • Must pass a background check and provide references.
Working Hours

This is a part-time position, typically requiring 15-20 hours per week. The specific schedule will be determined based on the needs of the school and may include morning, or afternoon shifts.
