Job Description

Undergraduate Academic Affairs (UAA) shapes, advances, and stewards a world‑class undergraduate academic experience for students at the University of Washington. Staff, faculty, and students in UAA deepen and enrich the learning experience for all undergraduates, recognizing and supporting the unique learning path of each individual student and committing each academic program to excellence in learning and teaching.

Within UAA, The Halbert and Nancy Robinson Center for Young Scholars (RC) at the University of Washington’s mission is threefold: teaching, research, and service. The RC is a leader in the nation for developing programs that serve highly capable young pre‑college and college students.

Undergraduate Academic Affairs has an outstanding opportunity for temporary 2025‑2026 Saturday Teaching Aides (Multiple Opportunities) to join their team. The Halbert and Nancy Robinson Center for Young Scholars offers enrichment courses through the Saturday Enrichment Program for students currently in grades K‑8. TAs are expected to arrive up to 30 minutes before their first scheduled course and be prepared to stay up to 30 minutes after the final course.

The Saturday TA is also required to attend all orientation and professional development training.

Under the supervision of the Enrichment Director, the Saturday TAs report to the Enrichment Program Manager in terms of course assignments and other related tasks, and work directly with instructors during class time. They are responsible for recording their hours bi‑monthly in Workday.
