Overview

Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor WOT, Clinical Director - Radiology, Breast Imaging. The Department of Radiology in the School of Medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle seeks a full-time faculty member to serve as Clinical Director in the Breast Imaging Section at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor without tenure (WOT) by reason of funding, commensurate with experience in clinical, research, and education domains.

The position follows the physician-scientist pathway, with possible placement on the clinician-educator pathway. The anticipated start date is February 1, 2026.

The Breast Imaging Section comprises 11 clinical faculty, 1 research faculty, and 4 fellows. The role includes clinical direction, teaching, and scholarly activity, with responsibilities across UW Medical Center campuses and affiliated centers.

• Direct the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center breast imaging clinic operations
• Provide clinical coverage of the breast imaging service
• Instruct medical students, diagnostic radiology residents, and breast imaging fellows
• Pursue scholarly interests in clinical, research, and education domains
• Participate in clinical work across UW Medical Center – Northwest Campus and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center sites
• Collaborate with clinical and research programs throughout UW Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center

• M.D. or foreign equivalent in medicine
• Eligibility for full medical licensure in Washington State
• Breast Imaging Fellowship completed in an accredited program
• American Board of Radiology certification
• Record of academic achievement with scientific presentations and/or publications

Note:

Applicants must meet requirements for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, including USMLE steps for graduates of foreign medical schools as per federal guidelines.

The base salary range is $30,929.00 per month to $40,102.00 per month ($ to $ annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range includes base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan and base salary from the University. Compensation from the UW Physicians practice plan may include separate benefits;

the physician practice plan may make you eligible for additional benefits. This position is incentive eligible through the physicians practice plan.
