The PositionWe are seeking an experienced architect with a passion for outstanding design to join our Seattle office.
Ideal candidate will have:- Professional degree in architecture
- 8-20 years of professional experience
- Advanced proficiency with Revit (required)
- Experience with Enscape, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Creative Suite
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills
- Technical proficiency in shell and interior detailing, and knowledge of building systems
- Diverse custom residential project experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret zoning and building codes across multiple jurisdictions
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
Project Architects at SMS work with small teams under the supervision of design and technical leadership to develop conceptual outlines into brilliant architecture. Core skills include producing construction documentation in Revit and coordinating consultants via email, phone, and video conference. Depending on experience, responsibilities may include staff supervision, project management, client interface, construction administration, and mentorship.
Hours and LocationThis will be a full-time, hybrid position with hours spent 80% in-office and 20% remote. Office atmosphere is casual with an emphasis on the benefits of in-person collaboration.
CompensationThis is a salaried position, $100,000 – $120,000 DOE plus a comprehensive benefit package including fully-paid medical and dental insurance and 401k program. Time off includes PTO and paid holidays including winter break and a floating holiday.
