Construction Proposal Specialist; InDesign

A local construction company located in Seattle, WA is currently hiring for a Proposal Specialist for the marketing team. This role involves gathering input from marketing, leadership, project teams, and estimators to craft cohesive, well‑designed proposal materials. The ideal candidate is skilled in Adobe InDesign (Must Have – Non‑negotiable), attentive to design details, and able to translate complex information into clear narratives and graphics.

Pay – $80k/yr. – $90k/yr. (Depending on the strength of the portfolio, the relevant AEC industry, InDesign proficiency, etc.)

Location – Seattle, WA (Monday – Thursday Onsite, Potential Flex-Fridays)

Schedule – Standard Morning Shift

• Develop and design proposal responses using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe InDesign.
• Produce printed and digital deliverables.
• Participate in pursuit strategy sessions, storyboarding, and proposal meetings.
• Create interview materials and presentations.
• Manage timelines, content coordination, and communication with pursuit teams.
• Maintain marketing databases and assist with broader team projects.

• 2+ years of direct proposal writing and design experience.
• Prior or current experience within the AEC division (architecture, engineering, and construction).
• * Must have proficiency with Adobe InDesign (will be 80% of the job).
• Strong writing, editing, and communication capabilities.
• * Must have a strong portfolio highlighting previous/recent construction proposal work samples.

This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 – $95000.00/yr.
