The Role- Design concepts and develop strategies through research, stakeholder engagement, concept narratives, mood boards, design references and sketches
- Develop concepts into 2D & 3D design solutions using sketches, elevations and renderings, exploring materiality, form and function
- Deliver design documentation, technical specifications, and other materials for implementation in the form of sign location plans, message schedules, and detailing for fabrication
- Manage + participate in architectural & fabrication coordination and installation oversight
- Contribute to Studio development, hone skills and experience, and build industry contacts
This role is a full-time, hybrid position that requires the candidate to be available to work from our studio in Seattle with some travel to project sites.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, architecture, or industrial design
- 3-5 years of experience as a designer in a studio environment, with experience designing and documenting architectural graphics, large scale artworks, and signage/way finding
- Desire to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams (a high level of collaboration is required)
- Strong work ethic, with demonstrated efficiency and initiative, flexibility, and a positive spirit
- Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Cloud (PSD, INDD, AI), and CAD tools in a Mac environment. Familiarity with 3D modeling software, website design, video editing, and/or creative technology are a bonus.
