Food Service Worker
Part time, 50% FTE, 20 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 2:30pm‑6:30pm. Fixed duration; anticipated need is 6 months. Day Shift.
Department DescriptionThe Nutrition and Food Services department supports UWMC's mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence‑based care, unforgettable customer service, and fresh and nutritious food for patients, families, and the greater community.
Position Highlights- Engage with patients and customers
- Gain experience in our new behavioral health building
- This position is primarily working as a cashier
Job Responsibilities
- Receive payment by credit cards, cash, or vouchers
- Issue refunds
- Answer customer questions
- Maintain orderly and clean checkout areas
- Greet customers entering cafeterias
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Make sure checkout stations are fully stocked
- Prepare coffee
- Restock merchandise
- Clean and wipe tables
- Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment.
Pay Range Minimum: $21.52 hourly
Pay Range Maximum: $28.60 hourly
