Performing Arts Roles/ Dance Instructor, Summer Seasonal
DANCE This Internship provides work within the rehearsal and performance process of a major Seattle Theatre Group program. Interns will be apart of every aspect of the production from start to finish including scheduling, rehearsal, sound, set up and administrative duties. This is a unique opportunity to interact with dance industry professionals and young artists.
This is a part-time, temporary position that earns $22/hour.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO- Distribute printed and online materials.
- Work with team on administrative needs for the project
- Run Check-in for Auditions, Rehearsals and/or classes
- Help with group assembly and artist wrangling
- Work in collection of paperwork and materials
- Assist in keep rehearsals on time, running smoothly, and organized.
- During performances or final share, function as additional back stage crew
- Act as show runner and on call personnel
- Support any needs for ECE managers to run program
- Must be able to available for both or 1 of the following programs:
- DANCE This Performance
- April/May/June Dates (Onsite for rehearsals, office – various dates based on schedule)
- May 9, 2026 from 11-7pm
- June 14, 2026 from 4:30-9pm
- June 30-July 10 all day
- DANCE This Camp – Weeklong residency at Ft Worden State Park
- Spring/Summer (Office time – various dates based on schedule)
- August 1-9, 2026
- DANCE This Performance
- Attend any trainings and orientations as scheduled and/or needed

QUALIFICATIONS- College or graduate student, 18 years or older for DANCE This Performance, 20 or older for DANCE This Camp
- Interest in dance, choreography, or other areas of performing arts
- Applicant must be mature and energetic
- Dedication to racial equity and social justice work in the arts
- Works well under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Receptive to ongoing feedback and provide meaningful feedback to Assoc. Dir of Community Programs with the goal of improving our programs
- First Aid/CPR Trained (if not certified – STG will arrange training)
- Bonus:
