Position: Video Producer (Contract)

About the Role

This position is for a Video Producer for the Sleep Doctor You Tube Channel as well as the larger  Content Team. This is a temporary, full-time contract role with a preferred start date of March 1 and is expected to last approximately 4–6 months
, with the potential for an expanded engagement.

In this video producer role, you will collaborate with the Senior Video Producer to create informative and engaging editorial and product review videos for our You Tube channel(s). This is an "end-to-end" role encompassing pre-production, production, and post-production. Key responsibilities include assisting with the development of creative pitches, scripts, You Tube thumbnails, and overall content strategy.

This position reports to Sleep Doctor’s Sr. Video Producer and will be based out of our Seattle office.

What You'll Do
  • Help advise Senior Video Producer in department creative strategy and content planning
  • Help coordinate productions, direct sets, and help oversee editorial of video projects
  • Manage and operate video production equipment and studio set build outs (including lighting, rigging, camera, and audio)
  • Help manage quality and efficiency of video production/post workflows, timelines, and ensure You Tube publishing deadlines are met by team members and freelancers
  • Review and edit media assets – including core video content, photo retouching, and basic effects
  • Help maintain and improve quality standards and brand consistency of digital assets across multiple You Tube channels and brand websites
What We Are Looking For
  • An online portfolio of video work is required at the time of application to be considered.
  • At least three years of professional video production experience (You Tube experience is preferred but not required)
  • Familiarity with video lighting/audio equipment, streaming platforms and technical workflows
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; including but not limited to Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, and Media Encoder
  • Excellent problem-solver, communicator, and attention to detail
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Compensation

Compensation Range

$35 - $40 hour – Specific compensation based on experience and qualifications
