Job Description
Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections
:
Perform regular safety audits in different jobsites across South Florida (Dade-Broward-WPB and occasional Orlando area) to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Document findings and recommend improvements.
Employee Training and Education
:
Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees such as toolbox talks, PTP's, and other specific OSHA topics including induction training for new hires and refresher courses for existing staff.
Incident Investigation
:
Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Additionally, the candidate must be able to work with the production team and general contractors to ensure effective and seamless collaboration.
Qualifications- Experience
:
Proven experience in safety management or a related field (Construction, preferable Steel Erection), with a strong understanding of safety regulations. - Analytical Skills
:
Strong analytical skills to assess risks and develop effective safety strategies. - Attention to Detail
: A detail-oriented approach to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations - Drivers License
:
Must have a valid driver’s license - Certifications
: CSP, CHST or equivalent experience, OSHA 510, OSHA 500 certification is a plus - Programs
:
Working with programs such as Procore or Hammer Tech is desirable. - Communication Skills
:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey safety policies and procedures to employees at all levels. - Educational Background
: HS Diploma or GED
