POSITION OVERVIEW:

We're looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Site Superintendent to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll manage on-site project activities, ensuring the successful execution of projects while fostering innovation and sustainability. WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Construction

Activities:

• Work in partnership with the Construction Project Manager to deliver projects that meet our quality standards, on schedule, and within budget

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, etc. to determine project needs

• Perform Quality Control Inspections at all critical junctures of the project in order to ensure all work is performed in a safe manner, meeting the Company's high-quality standards

• Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities

• Estimate costs and ensure the project is on budget

• Maintain 3-week rolling schedule specific to production

• Notify the project manager of any potential deviations to the schedule, change orders, safety violations, and issues pertaining to the quality of work

• Supervise the daily activities of all subcontractors and confirm the work is performed in amanner that is compliant with the Master Services Agreement and Project Subcontract Agreement

• Ensure subcontractor compliance with all health and safety requirements

• Provide onsite direction for field staff and contracted labor

• Implement safety and quality guidelines to ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly

• Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance

• Keep track of materials and orders

• Resolve on-site issues and emergencies

• Post digital daily project logs to include photos that summarize the activities of the day for each project

• Conduct weekly site safety inspection, following appropriate protocols

• Conduct weekly team meetings on site
WHAT YOU BRING:

• 7+ years' experience in both new, single and multifamily construction required, in the role of Site Superintendent

• Relevant educational courses or degree in Construction preferred

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting a Microsoft Project schedule

• Experience with cloud-based Construction Management software (ie. Autodesk Construction Cloud)

• Experience using online communication and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook and digital organization of project communication

• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and principles.

• Demonstrated understanding of health and safety practices in residential construction

• OSHA health and safety training highly preferred

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between job sites

• High degree of professionalism required with exceptional communication skills

• Aptitude for learning new technical and sustainable building practices and software

POSITION AND HOURS:

• This is an exempt and salaried, full-time position; not eligible for overtime pay.

• You'll be working primarily outdoors on jobsites throughout Seattle, with occasional time spent working from home or in-person meetings with the team in the Seattle area.

• Flexibility is key, with occasional work required outside standard office hours to meet deadlines

• Physical activities include frequent and repetitive movement, prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, or kneeling, and transporting materials up to 30 lbs.

• Work environments vary, from outdoor sites in different weather conditions to loud indoor settings with varying temperatures.
