Assistant Project Manager - Heavy Civil
Salary: $115,000- $145,000 + Bonus(s)
Location: Seattle, WA
An established general contractor with a strong reputation in heavy civil construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Seattle, WA. This is an excellent opportunity to work on impactful projects involving underground wet utilities, large-scale earthmoving, and WSDOT infrastructure
.
About the Role
The Assistant Project Manager will support project leadership in planning, coordination, and execution of complex heavy civil projects. This position offers exposure to challenging work and the chance to grow within a respected organization.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with WSDOT standards and safety regulations.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
- 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction.
- Hands-on experience with underground wet utilities and earthmoving operations
. - Familiarity with WSDOT specifications and procedures
. - Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6 or MS Project).
- Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems effectively.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
