Job Description

Join us at the forefront of Amazon's sustainability initiatives to work on environmental and social advancements to support Amazon's long term worldwide sustainability strategy. At Amazon, we’re working to be the most customer‑centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.

The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon’s scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.

The Worldwide Sustainability Regulatory Reporting team is looking for a detail focused, results‑oriented and collaborative individual to support Amazon’s global sustainability disclosure processes. Your work will help scale Amazon’s regulatory reporting infrastructure and deliver high quality sustainability disclosures by partnering cross‑functionally to understand Amazon’s environmental and social programs and key metrics.

You will be responsible for preparing for compliance with emerging regulations, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), and delivering Amazon’s regulatory reports in a rapidly evolving global environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate emerging regulations and develop preparation plans.
  • Execute reporting processes such as double materiality assessments.
  • Design and implement enhanced governance mechanisms to ensure adequate oversight and control over sustainability reporting.
  • Analyze sustainability performance against key goals and draft performance narratives in partnership with the Finance, Accounting, Environment, and Social Impact teams.
  • Work with Worldwide Sustainability subject matter experts to develop precise disclosures of Amazon's calculation methodologies for voluntary and regulatory sustainability reporting. Ensure disclosures meet external assurance standards and provide stakeholders with clear explanations of the criteria and methodologies used to calculate key metrics (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, energy usage, workforce demographics, impact assessment results).
