An established and highly respected General Contractor with a strong presence across the Pacific Northwest is seeking a Business Development Director to lead growth efforts out of its Seattle office.
This is a senior leadership role focused on expanding market share across key sectors including commercial, healthcare, life sciences, higher education and advanced technology.
The OpportunityYou will be responsible for driving strategic growth initiatives, building executive-level client relationships and positioning the firm for long-term success in the Seattle and wider Puget Sound market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a regional business development strategy aligned with company growth targets
- Build and maintain relationships with developers, owners, architects and key consultants
- Identify and qualify new project opportunities across target sectors
- Lead pursuit strategy including go / no-go decisions, teaming strategies and interview preparation
- Partner closely with Preconstruction and Operations leadership to convert opportunities into secured work
- Represent the company at industry events and maintain strong visibility in the market
- Track pipeline activity and forecast future revenue
- 10+ years of experience in construction business development within the Seattle or greater Puget Sound market
- Established relationships with local developers, healthcare providers, higher education institutions and corporate clients
- Proven track record of generating negotiated and design-build opportunities
- Strong understanding of
- Strategic thinker with strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience working with a mid-to-large commercial General Contractor
- Leadership role within a well-capitalized and growing contractor
- Strong internal support from preconstruction and operations teams
