YourRole
As the interim Senior Officer, DAC Review Business Operations, you will manage and implement DAC’s Review Services for Program Strategy Teams (PSTs), manage the annual budget, investment, and staffing plans, and collaborate with external contractors and grantees. You will also coordinate with the IDEV Team to support DAC’s annual strategy.
What You’ll Do- Strategic partnership development: cultivate deep relationships with PSTs and other partners to identify opportunities for DAC’s services.
- Business development leadership: lead DAC’s business development initiatives with targeted meetings, campaigns, and optimization software.
- Cross‑functional collaboration: serve as key liaison between DAC and other foundation divisions, supporting IDev Team initiatives.
- Operational excellence: oversee DAC’s investment portfolio, including external consultants, and ensure timely delivery of contracts.
- Process optimization: identify and implement improvements to scale DAC’s review operations.
- Financial stewardship: collaborate on the annual budget, investment plans, and staffing strategies.
- Leadership and decision support: provide analysis to inform decisions for the Deputy Director and senior leaders.
- Education:
Master’s degree or higher in business administration, public health, life sciences, or related field. - Professional experience: 7+ years in business operations, program/project management, or execution planning; preference for current or recent Gates Foundation employees.
- Operational expertise: proven track record in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation.
- Relationship management: exceptional interpersonal skills across diverse cultures.
- Self‑motivation and independence: proactive, self‑starting, thrives in dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills: meticulous and capable of leading complex projects.
- Communication proficiency: clear, concise, tailored to diverse audiences.

- Legal work eligibility: able to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
The salary range for this role is $191,100 to $294,700 USD. Adjustments are made based on market differences in Seattle and Washington D.C. Actual placement depends on qualifications.
