Senior Director of Product, Product Owner, API Marketplace

Job Description

As the senior product leader on the API Marketplace team, you will inspire cross‑functional teams to develop customer‑centric products and features that delight developers and meet business goals. You will own the vision for the external developer portal, API product catalog, billing, and quota management, ensuring a seamless experience for both third‑party and first‑party developers while maintaining high security and platform SLAs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targets.
  • Lead the entire product life cycle from planning and execution to future development, adapting methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets such as cost, features, reusability, and reliability.
  • Coach and mentor the product team on best practices, solution generation, market research, prototyping, and adoption strategies.
  • Own product performance and invest in enhancements to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, conduct competitive analysis, and identify opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Create, develop, and drive the product roadmap across the organization.
  • Lead a team of Product Managers, partner with Engineering, UX, and Data/Analytics peers, and coordinate cross‑product strategy for API lifecycle management.
  • Engage with partner–facing teams, third‑party and first‑party developers to understand needs and build strategies that enhance interactions with Chase APIs.
  • Make product decisions using data analytics and usage patterns.
  • Demonstrate a people‑focused leadership style, hiring, and mentoring for high‑performance teams.
  • Apply frameworks to balance technical debt reduction with innovation introduction.
Required Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • 8+ years of experience delivering products, projects, or technology applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of product development life cycle, technical design, and data analytics.
  • Proven ability to influence adoption of product lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategy, requirements definition, and value management.
  • Experience driving change and managing stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in product leadership or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Experience building, scaling, and managing product management teams and cross‑functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications , Capabilities, and Skills
  • Recognized thought leader in a related field.
  • 8+ years in product management for software/web technologies.
  • Experience with API, SDK, Developer Platform, or Authentication products.
  • Experience engaging stakeholders to set strategy and align priorities.
  • Technical understanding to work with code, Postman, and evaluate API trade‑offs.
  • Passion for building high‑quality user experiences and commitment to product excellence.
