Description
Play a crucial role in driving sales performance at Amazon Advertising. In this role, you’ll ensure accurate and timely compensation for our sales teams through meticulous data validation, revenue attribution, and quota management. Your analytical expertise and stakeholder management skills will be essential in maintaining program integrity while providing exceptional support to our global sales force.
Key Job Responsibilities- Analysis:
Reconcile and analyze large, complex datasets to ensure accurate quota allocation and performance tracking. Manage end‑to‑end sales compensation processes, including revenue recognition and payout execution. - Process Optimization:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compensation program efficiency and effectiveness. Drive results through cross‑functional collaboration and implement best practices in sales compensation. - Stakeholder
Collaboration:
Serve as the primary point of contact for Amazon Ads Business Units, managing communications and resolving complex compensation inquiries with professionalism. Handle escalations and provide support to sales managers and employees. - Compliance and Governance:
Enforce sales incentive policies while maintaining a supportive and transparent approach. Demonstrate both backbone in policy enforcement and diplomacy in stakeholder interactions. - Quota Management:
Orchestrate complex monthly and quarterly compensation activities, including quota distribution and adjustments. Ensure alignment with business objectives and sales strategies. - Data Management:
Handle large datasets while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Utilize strong data management skills to support accurate and timely compensation processes. - Training and Communication:
Deliver training materials on compensation plans and processes. Effectively communicate plan details and changes to relevant stakeholders. - Problem‑Solving:
Apply exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities to address complex compensation issues and scenarios. - Reporting and Analytics:
Generate insightful reports and analytics to support decision‑making and provide visibility into compensation program performance. - Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on sales compensation best practices and industry trends to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the compensation program.
Your day combines analytical precision and stakeholder support, starting with validating global revenue feeds and addressing time‑sensitive compensation inquiries. You’ll analyze complex datasets, process territory changes, and participate in stakeholder meetings to resolve intricate cases. On a quarterly basis you’ll run commission calculations, validate payouts, and collaborate with business units to ensure accurate revenue and quota attribution. Throughout the day, you’re the trusted advisor for sales teams navigating compensation matters.

Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Deep experience with sales incentive compensation programs and best practices
- Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company
- 5+ years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience
- CCP or CSCP Certified
