About

the Role

We’re looking for a Relationship Manager who builds trusted client partnerships and delivers meaningful strategic value. You’re client‑first, proactive, and comfortable navigating complex benefits challenges; translating them into clear, actionable solutions.

In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of client accounts with guidance and mentorship from senior team members. You’ll serve as a key client contact, support renewals, and collaborate closely with internal teams while continuing to develop your consulting and relationship management skills. This position is ideal for someone with foundational benefits experience who’s ready to take on greater account responsibility and grow into a strategic advisor who elevates the client experience at every stage.

This role can be Hybrid in Greater Seattle or Remote in WA, OR,  light travel required (up to 10%).

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management & Client Support
    • Manage day‑to‑day client relationships for assigned accounts, primarily in the 25‑300 employee range with mentorship from VP, Client Relationships
    • Serve as a primary client contact for HR teams, conducting regular check‑ins and addressing plan administration, claims, and employee inquiries proactively.
    • Coordinate with internal service teams to deliver timely, accurate resolutions.
    • Assist clients with routine plan changes, employee adds/deletes, and administrative requests.
  • Renewal Support & Implementation
    • Support renewal cycles using tools such as Plan Sight and Brite to gather data, prepare analyses and presentations, and coordinate renewal implementation—including enrollment materials, employee communications, and timelines.
    • Negotiate renewal strategies through observation and mentored participation, prioritizing the best possible outcome for clients.
  • Client Service & Strategic Growth
    • Work with carriers and vendors to obtain quotes, clarify coverage, and resolve issues.
    • Support compliance activities including COBRA administration and ACA reporting.
    • Help prepare client reports, utilization summaries, and benchmarking analyses.
    • Assist with claims and billing issue resolution in coordination with carriers and internal teams.
    • Participate in carrier and vendor training to expand product knowledge, complete continuing education to advance professional certifications.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in employee benefits, with a strong working knowledge of group health, dental, vision, and ancillary benefits
  • Experience using benefits administration platforms, HRIS systems, or similar client‑facing technology
  • Proficiency with data analysis and presentation tools (Excel, reporting tools, dashboards, presentations)
What Sets You Apart
  • Tech‑savvy and comfortable learning new systems to improve client service and internal efficiency
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate issues before they arise
  • Experience supporting or managing client accounts in a consultative, service‑driven environment
  • Familiarity with benefits regulations (ERISA, COBRA, ACA) or a strong aptitude to learn
  • Insurance license or willingness to obtain within 90 days
