The Service Porter is a vital member of the service department team, ensuring smooth operations and a positive customer experience. You ll be responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and moving vehicles, while also assisting service advisors and technicians.
Responsibilities- Vehicle Movement and Organization:
Safely move vehicles within the service department (between service bays, parking lots, etc.). - Organize vehicles on the service lot according to dealership display standards.
- Assist with customer vehicle pick-up and drop-off.
- Provide a friendly and professional demeanor to customers.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading belongings from their vehicles.
- Answer basic customer questions and direct them to service advisors when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area (sweeping, vacuuming, removing trash).
- Assist service advisors and technicians with tasks as directed.
- May shuttle customers to and from dealership (if applicable).
- May perform errands for the service department, such as picking up parts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrating a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Certifications:
Valid driver s license with a clean driving record. - Strong work ethic with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Good physical condition able to perform manual labor tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
