The Clinical Performance Lab (CPL) Coordinator supports and facilitates the daily operations of the Clinical Performance Lab, ensuring the smooth delivery of standardized patient activities, lab‑based learning experiences, and administrative workflows. The role oversees key functions including SP program scheduling and coordination, lab readiness and support, student‑worker collaboration, and front‑line clerical and reception duties. Working under the direction of the Director of Simulation and Innovation, the CPL Coordinator helps maintain an organized, safe, and efficient learning environment while ensuring that working processes align with broader CPL systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Standardized Patient (SP) Program Coordination - 50%
- Collaborate with the Director of Simulation and Innovation and the Program Coordinator to develop, refine, and implement SP program processes, procedures, and policies to support consistent, high‑quality operations.
- Coordinate scheduling and recruitment of SPs.
- Lead SP orientations and maintain program documentation.
- Collaborate with faculty for SP recruitment and script preparation.
- Assist the Operations Coordinator with compliance documentation and payroll processes.
- Lab Coordination & Support - 30%
- Maintain CPL SharePoint sites and support Power Automate workflows.
- Co-create CPL digital newsletters.
- Ensure daily lab readiness.
- Maintain clean and organized common areas.
- Serve as the safety warden for building safety requirements and deliver orientations for faculty and students.
- Provide tours for prospective students in collaboration with admissions teams.
- Coordinate student‑centered events such as Admitted Students Day, Prospective Students Day, and Immersion Day.
- Support administrative onboarding for new CPL staff and student workers.
- Submit and track maintenance, facilities, after‑hours, and catering requests.
- Promote HCSSOBP standards and effective teamwork.
- Student Worker Collaboration - 10%
- Assist with the hiring, training, and supervising of student workers.
- Support the Operations Coordinator in oversight and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate on student worker orientations, training activities, and graduation events.
