Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (On-site)
Pay: $25/hour
The Choice, Inc. is partnering with an architecture and design firm, located on the Georgetown waterfront. We are seeking a Temporary Receptionist to join their team for the summer. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in presenting a professional front office presence and is eager to contribute to the smooth running of a creative, high-performing office. Optional marketing support tasks may be available for candidates with the right skill set.
Core Responsibilities:
Front Desk & Office Support
- Greet clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls (light call volume)
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area and front desk
- Set up and refresh conference rooms daily for meetings (e.g., water for coffee machine, restocking supplies, tidying post-meeting)
- Keep kitchen area neat and organized, including unloading dishwasher each morning and maintaining supplies

- Neat, clean, and articulate with a polished, professional demeanor
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable being the face of the office and creating a warm first impression
Optional:
Marketing Support Responsibilities (If qualified and interested)
Candidates with marketing and design skills may be invited to contribute to:
- Creating proposals, presentations, and qualifications packages using Adobe In Design
- Writing promotional content for social media, email campaigns, and the firm’s website
- Developing internal and external pitch decks
- Researching and writing award submissions and press materials
- Enhancing graphics and written content in marketing collateral
- Assisting with the organization and maintenance of the marketing archive
Preferred Skills for Marketing Tasks
- Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Graphic design and copywriting experience
- Interest in architecture, design, or the creative industries
