Deacon Construction is looking for a Project Assistant to support our project teams in the Seattle area. This office-based role coordinates administrative and operational tasks throughout the life of construction projects across diverse markets, including Healthcare, Public-Sector, Industrial, Mixed-Use, Multifamily, Commercial Office, Hospitality, Senior Living, and Warehouse/Distribution.

Responsibilities- Support project teams—provide administrative and project support from startup through closeout
- Manage documentation—contracts, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and plan revisions
- Coordinate billing and payments—support customer invoicing, subcontractor payments, invoice review, and cost code verification
- Communicate with subs and vendors—coordinate proposals, materials, RFIs, submittals, and long lead items
- Handle logistics—permits, deposits, plan distribution, material ordering, and temporary facilities
- Support closeout—collect as-builts, warranties, and job books; archive project documents
- 1–2 years of experience in construction administration or project coordination
- Prior GC experience in commercial construction strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Clear communication skills—verbal and written
- Self-motivated and dependable—comfortable supporting multiple project team members in a fast-paced environment
- $23–$30/hour (depending on experience)
