Summary
Performs a variety of general administrative payroll functions. Compiles data and maintains payroll records in accordance with standard procedures. Works closely with a team of payroll specialists to ensure accurate weekly processing of payroll and maintenance of payroll records. Must demonstrate confidentiality and discretion at all times when working with employee and payroll information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- This position requires office experience with data entry, calculator/10 key, word processing, and spreadsheet and database programs.
- Enters time, prints checks, completes direct deposits, and supports the processing and distribution of weekly multi-state payroll.
- Process union and non-union employee changes including, but not limited to rate increases, W-4 with holdings, direct deposits, garnishments, and 401k deductions.
- Scans, codes and indexes payroll records in Document Management System (CDM).
- Assists with audits
- Prepares weekly certified payroll reports using LCPtracker, CDS and other software programs
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries
- Prepares and maintains monthly and annual union reports; remits payments for fringe benefits, initiation fees and monthly dues.
- Work with HR to maintain accurate payroll records and ensure all data is entered into payroll system on time
- Access to compensation information is necessary to perform this job function or another routinely assigned business task, and the essential function or duties of the position include protecting and maintaining privacy of employee personnel records and confidential information, including maintaining the confidentiality of compensation information.
- Provides a variety of routine office/clerical duties including organizing, filing, scanning, coding, data entry and maintenance of confidential payroll records.
- Ensures compliance with Manson’s Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Responsible for practicing safe work standards and promoting an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) work environment as a condition of employment.

- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3+ years of payroll experience
- Working knowledge of state and federal payroll regulations and labor laws
- Proficient of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience CMiC payroll system preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills required
- Experience with LCPTracker preferred
- Certification in payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional – CPP) is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret multi-state collective bargaining agreements.

This position is primarily an office based position, reporting out of the Seattle office.

Position is primarily an office position, performs work at a desk. The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
