Description
The Coordinator of Facility Operations plays a critical role in the day‑to‑day functioning of the BECU Storm Center for Basketball Performance, serving both the front office and the basketball operations teams. They are a public‑facing, welcoming and professional presence, bringing a positive, proactive approach to ensuring the building represents the Storm brand for all staff and guests.
This role supports Storm values and contributes to making the BECU Storm Center a safe and welcoming environment. It demonstrates a positive, can‑do attitude, excellent customer service, and prioritizes building and staff safety and security.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Admission & Reception- Intercom duties – vet and admit visitors, deliveries, or vendors to appropriate entries, ensuring secure delivery of mail & packages and access to the appropriate individuals.
- Manage reception duties for all BECU Storm Center visitors, including pre‑registration, reception check‑in, check‑out processes, and monthly reporting of visitor loads.
- During Jr. Storm programming windows, manage admission of Jr. Storm attendees and parent supervision.
- Support Facility Manager with vendor admission and supervision while on site.
- Primary office location at the reception desk by the front door; expected to be in office approximately 5 days a week.
- Maintain kitchen appliances, daily maintenance of coffee machines, loading/unloading dishwasher, weekly fridge review.
- Manage & replenish front office supplies: snacks & drinks, kitchen supplies, office supplies within budget; manage basketball operations supplies; collect supply requests; maintain inventory; prepare conference rooms, stock beverages, assist with catering.
- Manage supplies and vendors for office equipment: printers, copiers, postage printer, shredder, laminator, etc.
- Co‑ordinate patio and outdoor maintenance with Facility Manager.
- Support office mail processes, ensure daily mailing/shipping; manage loading dock; collaborate with events & operations coordinator on staff lunches, gifts, functions; light janitorial tasks.
- Draft weekly schedule to meet BECU Storm Center business and basketball needs; review with Director of Business Operations and Facility Manager.
- Assist with managing calendars for Center and Staff Events.
- Maintain clean, organized operations department storage areas: reception desk, mail room, loading dock, storage rooms; facilitate effective usage.
- Occasional gameday support; night and weekend work may be required.
- Support operations teammates in facility, ticket, broadcast, special event management, office administration, IT as needed.
- Participate in weekly operations stand‑up.
- Off‑season support with additional basketball operations duties.
- Utilize and refine systems to track & analyze Center usage and optimization.
- Bring new ideas to solve challenges as the business grows.

Related Experience2+ years in a professional office environment, preference for experience in an administrative or facilities role. Experience in dynamic environments, and/or sports, preferred.
Required CompetenciesThe candidate must be a professional communicator, maintain confidentiality, be highly detail‑oriented and organized, exhibit strong time management and project management skills, remain a flexible team player willing to adapt to changes and tackle challenges. They will represent the Storm brand and culture and must connect with a broad range of stakeholders.
Technical SkillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and technologically fluent across many platforms and operating systems.
