Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing various accounting functions, including preparing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role is integral to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting the monthly and year‑end closing processes, and assisting in audits and variance analysis.

- Prepare and record timely, accurate general ledger entries, including adjustments and accruals.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
- Manage fixed assets and capital expenditures, including asset capitalization, disposals, depreciation, and maintaining the fixed asset.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with organizational policies and GAAP.
- Support monthly and year‑end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing financial reports, variance analyses, and budget‑to‑actual comparisons.
- Assist in preparing audit schedules and support both internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and contribute to process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies, provide financial insights, and support decision‑making.
- Perform ad‑hoc financial analyses and special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
- Promote and uphold safe work practices through awareness, training, and reporting of potential hazards.

Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or progress towards a CPA is a plus.
- 3‑5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools; experience with D365 F&O is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Power BI Teams, etc.).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in nonprofit accounting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time.
