Senior Staff Accountant

A growing, project-driven organization in the construction and energy space is seeking a skilled accounting professional to join its finance team. • Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including cash and credit accounts
• Assist with monthly and periodic financial close activities
• Support internal reporting and financial analysis

• Assist with work-in-progress tracking and reporting
• Review coding accuracy and cost allocations
• Partner with operations teams to ensure project financial integrity
• Contribute to margin and profitability insights
• Generate invoices based on project milestones or contract terms
• Record customer payments and maintain accurate aging data
• Process vendor and subcontractor invoices with proper cost coding
• Assist with collection follow‑up when needed

• Help prepare routine financial reports and variance explanations
• Support documentation needed for audits or tax preparation
• Participate in inventory or cost reconciliation activities

• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and workflows
• Assist with documenting accounting procedures and best practices
• Recommend improvements that enhance reporting reliability

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Approximately 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience participating in month‑end close activities
• Familiarity with accrual‑based accounting and general ledger structure
• Exposure to project‑based, construction, or cost accounting environments preferred
• ERP system experience required;
  Net Suite or similar platforms
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills

• Organized, detail-focused, and dependable
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross‑functionally
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven setting
• Clear communicator with a proactive mindset
