Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our nonprofit client in Seattle, Washington. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in accounting operations and financial management. The role will involve overseeing critical accounting processes and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly recorded and reconciled.

- Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with auditing standards.

- Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.

- Develop and post journal entries while adhering to accounting principles.

- Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits and provide necessary documentation.

- Monitor and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

- Provide guidance and support to the accounting team to meet organizational goals.

- Analyze financial data and generate reports for management decision-making.

- Assist in identifying process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting management or a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger operations.

- Proficiency in preparing and auditing financial statements.

- Expertise in account reconciliations and journal entries.

- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.

- Advanced skills in accounting software and tools.

- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams.
