KPFF Seattle is seeking an experienced Project Cost Accountant. This position is a 6 month temporary role
. The selected candidate will be employed on a fixed-term basis for the duration of the assignment.
- Process and track client billing invoices inan accurateandtimelymanner
- Read contracts and interpret billing requirements
- Project setup, including bill structure,rateand classification information
- Payables entry of sub-consultant invoices
- Create cost reports in BST 10 Global accounting software
- Project cost reporting for clients with special requirements
- Manage accounts receivables on projects
Work closely with Project Coordinators and Project Managers for reporting and invoice approvals
- AA degree with accounting/finance emphasis
- Minimum2years related billing experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting process
- Proficient in MS Excel and Office Suite
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team and take initiative
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with BST 10 Global accounting system
- Experience in an Engineering firm (or other Professional Services firms)
- Experience in billing with Public Works Agencies such as WSDOT, King County, Sound Transit and SDOT
- This position is classified as a temporary, direct fixed-term employee.
- This is not a permanent or full-time employee position.
- Benefits may vary depending on the employment arrangement and staffing vendor used.
- Extension or conversion to full‑time employment is not guaranteed and depends on business needs and performance.
- Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
- Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
- Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
- Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.
The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected pay for a qualified candidate is$35.00 - $39.00/hour
