Lynden Logistics, Inc – Senior Accountant
Lynden Logistics, Inc is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Sea Tac-based general ledger accounting team. The role involves all aspects of accounting for foreign companies and is a non-safety sensitive position.
The TeamThe Lynden General Ledger Team leads accounting initiatives, collaborating with many executives, managers and employees across departments, service centers throughout the US & Canada, and other Lynden companies.
Responsibilities- Prepare, create, and manage financial reports and financial statements.
- Liaise with others to ensure general ledger information is accurate and relevant.
- Review and analyze monthly system‑generated revenue reports and apply GAAP to prepare complete and accurate journal entries.
- Prepare various other journal entries using financial and statistical data from various systems.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Review various consolidations and currency translations of financial information.
- Research GAAP to generate written documents.
- Maintain general ledger standard operating procedures.
- Use a personal mobile device for essential work tasks such as MFA, accessing Dayforce, and receiving time‑sensitive communications.
- 3‑5 years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated knowledge of revenue recognition and consolidations.
- Foreign currency knowledge and CPA are a plus.
- BA or BS in Accounting.
- Strong attention to detail, high quality of work and accuracy.
- Outstanding time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, oral and active listening skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to work effectively with other employees, departments and companies, both in person and virtually.
