The individual will be responsible for managing all payroll processing and related accounting, and a variety of accounting activities including but not limited to revenue cycle accounting, monthly close and treasury.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all payroll processing and related accounting for the organization, including contractors as needed.
- Posting of revenue activity from various sources and reconciliation of the activity to Quick Books
- Posting transactions to the general ledger, reconciliation of various accounts, analysis of monthly financials
- Monitor aged receivables for collection issues and accuracy of receipts applications
- Participate in the development, enhancement and implementation of processes and procedures to gain efficiencies, strengthen controls and improve our reporting
- Support the treasury function as needed
- Participate in the annual audit, budget process and special projects as the need arises
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills, organized, results oriented with proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient with various accounting software programs and Microsoft Office suite
- Interested in continually learning, seeking solutions and working collaboratively with various departments within the organization
