Controller – Seattle Metro Area, WA – Part‑Time at Your Part‑Time Controller, LLC

Responsibilities- Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple non‑profit clients.
- Transform client financial departments to support their missions.
- Prepare financial reports for management and board decision‑making.
- Recommend and implement improvements to accounting, operations, internal controls, and compliance.
- Perform transactional activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and maintain work papers.
- Analyze data, create visualizations, and produce budgeting and forecasting reports.
- Manage grant accounting, allocations, and funder reporting.
- Prepare for and manage annual audits.
- Provide training and development opportunities for clients and staff.
- Passionate about working with or supporting non‑profit organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required). Bachelor’s in another field acceptable with significant relevant experience.
- 5–7+ years of accounting experience.
- Experience working in a remote environment preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency with multiple GL packages, especially Quick Books, and electronic bill‑pay systems.
- Non‑profit, public accounting, or consulting experience is a plus.
- CPA certification is advantageous.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferable.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple clients, work independently, and respond promptly.
