Job Title
Senior Financial Accountant
LocationSeattle, WA
Pay Range$80,000–$105,000 annually
Reporting ToFinance Director
ScheduleFull‑time, Exempt; hybrid, up to one day/week remote; core hours 10 am–4 pm
Responsibilities- Compile financial statements and perform reconciliations, including intercompany eliminations
- Design, establish, and maintain internal control systems to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, including fixed‑asset depreciation schedules and prepaid amortization
- Lead the monthly closing process and prepare board‑level financial reporting and variance analysis
- Write technical accounting and policy memoranda and lead special projects
- Serve as an informal team leader; mentor and develop other accounting staff
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Coordinate audit activities and serve as the primary point of contact with auditors on financial and benefit plan audits
- Perform detailed payroll review and, when necessary, process payroll without errors during staff absences
- Support Kin On’s mission, vision, strategy, and core values; perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Three years of accounting experience required; strong preference for experience in financial consolidation, variance analysis, and reconciliation skills
- Preferred experience in healthcare, non‑profits, or external audit; familiarity with healthcare industry financial systems (e.g., PCC) is a plus
- Experience with Paychex or Attendance on Demand (AOD) is a plus
- Bilingual in Chinese preferred, but not required
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Strong knowledge of full‑cycle accounting processes and practices for healthcare and non‑profits
- Demonstrated experience with proactively identifying and implementing process improvements
- Customer‑service focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to invest in the success and development of staff, with humility to share credit where it is due
- Strong project management, organizational, and business‑acumen skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently within a diverse workforce
