This is a full-time, on-site role for a Correctional Officer at the Federal Bureau of Prisons facility located in Sea Tac, WA. The Correctional Officer will be responsible for supervising incarcerated individuals, maintaining safety and security, and ensuring daily operational functions within the facility. Key tasks include conducting inspections, monitoring inmate activities, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to emergencies. Additional responsibilities may involve engaging in facility training programs and assisting in maintaining safety standards.
Qualifications- Skills in Supervisory Roles, including staff management and delegation
- Knowledge of Criminal Justice procedures, practices, and systems
- Experience in Physical Security measures and protocols
- Training and teaching capabilities for facilitating educational or professional development programs
- Skills or experience in Law Enforcement, including handling security breaches, conflict resolution, and incident response
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with inmates, staff, and stakeholders
- Ability to adapt quickly and perform effectively in high-pressure situations
- Completion of basic correctional officer training or a related program may be required
