We are now looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team at Sellafield, Seascale, Cumbria.
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be reporting to the Electrical Project Manager and assisting them with procurement and delivery of the Electrical Packages, coordinating with the client, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery. The position will be full time and site based as part of the March delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
Attending site team meetings and workshops as required, implementing Compensation Events and producing early warnings.
Production of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) and other QHSE documentation.
Managing the production of Electrical and sub-contractors ITP’s and ICL’s in conjunction with the QA Manager requirements.
Identifying, assessing, negotiating with and managing suppliers and sub-contractors.
Undertake general commercial activities (assist in preparation of applications for payment, compilation of variations, etc.).
Production of Technical Submissions and RFI’s ensuring the correct selection and procurement of equipment.
Working closely with:
The Quality Manager to ensure the resolving and closing out of Snags and Defects.
The Document Controller, Design manager, Quality Manager and team to ensure the production of RIBA 5 Working drawings and RIBA 6 Handover documentation.
Communicating and co-ordinating with the Commissioning Manager, Design/Technical Manager, Modular Build Project Manager.
The Quantity Surveyor, Principal Contractor and other trades.
The project Planner to ensure accurate planning, forecasting and reporting contract performance.
Skills and Experiences:
Educated to HNC Level (or equivalent) in an electrical engineering discipline – consideration will be given for those with equivalent industry experience.
Have experience in using MS office software.
You will also need to hold both a SMSTS and CSCS card.
Experience working within a nuclear or highly regulated environment and hold SC clearance (desirable).
