Education:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Certified or eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- Licensed to practice Respiratory Care in the State of Arkansas.
Training and
Experience:
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients, and visitors.
Job Knowledge:
- Delivers appropriate care to patients from neonatal through geriatrics with regard to age specific considerations (see attached sheet).

DESCRIPTION:
- A certified or certificate eligible technician who is responsible for respiratory care given in any area of the hospital including special care units.
- May be assigned supervisory responsibilities when adequately prepared.
- Must be willing to learn cardiovascular procedures as required.
Physical Effort: Maintains good physical well being. Job responsibilities require a great deal of walking, bending, pushing heavy equipment, wheel chairs and lifting patients.
Mental Effort: Maintains good emotional well being. Possesses the ability to work under stress.
