Description:
A registered therapist who is responsible for respiratory care given in any area of the hospital, including special care units. Maintains appropriate documentation as required by administration, state, and federal authorities, and regulatory. May be assigned supervisory responsibilities when adequately prepared.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program and satisfactory completion of the registry examination by the NBRC.
- Licensed to practice respiratory care in the state of Arkansas. BLS required; ACLS preferred but not required.
- Delivers appropriate care to patients from neonatal through geriatrics with regards to age-specific considerations.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, associates, patients, and visitors.
