The Edge Polishing Machine Operator / Assistant is responsible for operating and maintaining edge polishing machine in the production of quartz and granite products. The role involves ensuring that all edges are polished to meet product specifications and quality standards, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining efficient production processes.

• Machine Operation:
  Operate edge polishing machines to achieve desired edge profiles and finishes on quartz and granite products.
• Quality Control:
  Inspect products and polished edges for defects, ensuring they meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Maintenance:
  Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on polishing machines. Report any significant malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Setup and Calibration:
  Set up and calibrate machines according to the specifications for different projects. Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain precision and efficiency.
• Safety Compliance:
  Safety is a condition of employment. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of machine usage, maintenance, and production metrics.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production flow and resolve any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
• Cleaning:
  Keep work area clean and organized. Ensure that machines, tools and equipment are properly cleaned, maintained and stored.

• Previous experience operating edge polishing machines or similar equipment in a fabrication environment preferred.
• Experience in machine setup, operation, and maintenance is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to produce high-quality finishes.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Ability to lift heavy materials (50 lbs.), stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions such as wet floors and exposure to noise.
