Job Description:
We are recruiting for a Logistics Assistant to join a busy transport and supply chain team on a 1 year fixed term basis. The Logistics Assistant will play a key role in ensuring daily logistics operations run smoothly, documentation is accurate, and communication flows effectively across departments.
As a Logistics Assistant, you will support the planning and scheduling of inbound and outbound goods, liaise with customers and freight partners, and ensure transport documentation is completed and filed correctly. The Logistics Assistant will update internal systems, maintain accurate data records, and manage incoming queries professionally.
This Logistics Assistant position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple priorities, and enjoys problem-solving. You will also provide general administrative support and assist the wider transport team during peak periods or absences.
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in administration or logistics support
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
* Ability to multitask and prioritise workload
* Experience with in transport or supply chain (desirable)
