Position Overview

Cornerstone Mechanical is seeking a Senior Millwright / Reliability Specialist to support rotating equipment reliability across multiple industrial customer sites in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. This is a hands‑on, field‑focused role for a professional who combines strong millwright fundamentals with advanced vibration analysis and condition monitoring capabilities.

In this role, you will own the health of rotating equipment—from diagnostics and data analysis through corrective action and continuous improvement. You will work directly with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to reduce downtime, eliminate repeat failures, and elevate reliability programs.

This position is ideal for a technician who wants technical autonomy, high‑quality tools, and the opportunity to influence how reliability is done, not just execute work orders.

What You Will Do Reliability & Condition Monitoring
  • Perform vibration analysis, oil analysis, and other condition monitoring techniques to assess the health of rotating equipment
  • Analyze trends and operating data (vibration, lubrication, temperature, pressure, flow, load, efficiency) to identify developing failure modes
  • Manage vibration and oil analysis databases to ensure accurate, actionable data
  • Specify, install, and commission vibration monitoring systems including sensors, transmitters, probes, cabling, and grounding
Millwright & Mechanical Leadership
  • Lead and support mechanical repairs, rebuilds, alignments, balancing, and upgrades on rotating equipment
  • Apply strong millwright fundamentals including bearings, seals, fits and tolerances, alignment, and installation best practices
  • Provide on‑site and remote technical support to field maintenance teams
  • Serve as a technical authority for rotating equipment troubleshooting and diagnostics
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and reliability teams to prioritize and execute corrective actions
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts by providing historical vibration and lubrication data
  • Document findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions in CMMS systems
  • Identify, justify, and assist with procurement of predictive maintenance equipment and critical spares
Tools & Technology You’ll Use
  • Professional‑grade vibration analyzers and analysis software
  • Laser alignment systems
  • Condition monitoring hardware and sensors
  • CMMS platforms for asset history and work tracking
  • Access to ongoing training, certifications, and advanced PdM technologies

Cornerstone invests in the right tools and the right training so our technicians can perform at the highest level.

Work Environment

This role includes a combination of field and office work. Candidates must be physically capable of working around elevated and rotating equipment, climbing stairs, and performing hands‑on mechanical work in industrial environments.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience maintaining rotating equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Category II Vibration Analysis certification preferred (strong Category I candidates with extensive rotating equipment experience will be considered)
  • Ability to wire and unwire 480 V 3‑phase motors
  • Working knowledge of oil analysis and predictive maintenance methodologies
  • Strong understanding of rotating equipment fundamentals, including assembly, repair, tooling, and installation
  • Proven ability to interpret vibration and lubrication data and recommend corrective actions
  • Proficiency with vibration data…
