Hours:

Monday-Friday, 6:45-14:45

Pay Rate: £14.13 per hour

We are recruiting a Waste Collection Driver to support local waste and recycling operations.

Driving a 7.5T vehicle to deliver and collect burgundy bins Monday to Friday, with potential overtime on Saturdays.

• Drive large refuse collection or stillage vehicles (HGV Class
  
  C)
• Operate bin‑lifting equipment and assist with safe handling of containers
• Complete daily vehicle checks
• Lead and support a small team of loaders
• Provide customer advice on waste and recycling
• Update in‑cab systems or complete paper records
• Manage contamination issues and ensure accurate documentation

• HGV Class 2 licence
• Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• Confident using IT and recording systems
• Strong communication skills
• Experience handling challenging situations
• Good manual handling awareness
• Ability to walk several miles per day
• Knowledge of the local area and waste services
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Professional, tactful, and customer‑focused
