Maintenance Technician
Artifex Interior Systems is pleased to confirm the following opportunity within our business.
Hours: 12‑hour shifts, 3‑4 per week, alternating day (06:00‑18:00) and night (18:00‑06:00) shifts. This averages 40 hours per week.
Main purpose of the jobA multi‑skilled position as part of the maintenance team, responding to the high demands of the site in terms of general, routine and unplanned maintenance of the plant, equipment and facilities. Rapid response and rectification of problems is critical to ensure targets are met.
Main missions & results- Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and proactively raise potential H&S issues.
- Carry out all work in line with company policies and procedures.
- Support production requirements on a range of injection moulding machines of varied tonnages, including repairs and fault-finding.
- Adjust, set‑up-town maintain laser cells, PU cells, assembly and checking automation cells.
- Undertake planned preprocessing work as requested, supporting plant start‑up and shut‑down procedures on a weekend rota.
- Installation work and continuous improvement duties around the site.
- City & Guilds 214 Mechanical Engineering / HNC / ONC in electrical and mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- NVQ 3 Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Time‑served apprenticeship within a production / manufacturing environment.
- Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge with ability to read diagrams and drawings.
- Experience of working with automation and assembly equipment.
- Working knowledge of H&S requirements in an engineering environment.
- Ability to work to tight time frames and continue to perform at a high standard under pressure.
- Self‑motivated with a desire for self‑improvement.
- Ability to work successfully within a team and under own initiative.
- Ability to find faults and solve problems.
- 18th Edition Electrical Installations.
- Overhead crane licence.
- 6‑ and 3‑axis کہا robot experience.
- Working knowledge ofregon Lean Engineering and CI techniques.
- Working knowledge of plastic injection moulding machinery.
