Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working with an established and growing manufacturing business in Scunthorpe who are looking to recruit a Buyer to join their team.

This role will suit someone who enjoys owning purchasing and stock control end to end, working closely with suppliers and production teams to keep materials flowing and costs under control.

• 39 hour working week with a 1:30pm finish every Friday!

• Place and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components and services
• Forecast demand and maintain inventory levels using MRP data and safety stock rules
• Track orders, expedite late deliveries and resolve supply issues
• Monitor supplier performance across delivery, quality and cost
• Maintain accurate records within the ERP or MRP system and produce reports
• Identify cost saving and process improvement opportunities

• Previous experience within a procurement role
• Previous experience within manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ERP or MRP systems and Excel
• Confident negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor performance
