The Best Connection Are Recruiting - Temporary FLT Counterbalance Driver (12-13 Weeks)

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Temporary FLT Counterbalance Driver to support a busy production and warehouse operation for a period of 12 to 13 weeks.

This is a hands‑on role requiring attention to detail, safety awareness, and a proactive approach to supporting production flow and logistics.

• Pick and check goods for compliance with paperwork and quality standards.
• Feed materials to Production departments (Extrusion, Print, Conversion & Lamination) from designated drop points, ensuring correct location and schedule.
• Scan pallets accurately and manage racking locations.
• Handle scrap materials safely, ensuring secure packaging and correct labelling.
• Transport finished goods between production processes and designated warehouse areas.
• Liaise with Logistics Assistant (Days) regarding external resources.
• Record stock movements accurately in line with company procedures.
• Maintain stock control of all consumables.
• Ensure stock is ready and available for further processing.
• Relocate products after Morning Market to required locations.
• Operate the baling machine for safe waste removal.
• Ensure safe and proper movement of all materials.
• Conduct daily MHE pre‑start checks and log accurately; report any safety issues immediately.
• Perform core cutting as required, following SOPs.

• Monday to Thursday – 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Sunday – 9:00am to 6:00pm
• Each shift includes a 1‑hour unpaid break, totalling 40 hours per week.

• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Previous experience in a similar role within a production or warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organisational skills

• Temporary position – 12 to 13 weeks
