Part Time Cleaner – GP Practice‑Winterton
We are seeking an additional staff member to join our cleaning team, working a regular shift on a
Monday: 5.30 pm - 8.30 pm at
Winterton Medical Practice (3 hrs per week)and also to provide ad‑hoc additional hours to cover for holidays and sickness absence.
Salary in line with the national living wage with the option to join the NHS Pension Scheme.
Main duties of the jobProviding cleaning support to the cleaning team, cleaning the practice to include clinical and non‑clinical areas.
Completion of cleaning sheets and ensuring the cleaning adheres to all healthcare cleaning standards.
About usWinterton Medical Practice is a forward‑thinking GMS Dispensing Practice based in a small market town in North Lincolnshire over two sites. We are a Teaching practice and a Training practice with the Hull York Medical School. We reside in purpose built premises which includes a Minor Surgery Suite.

The Assistant Practice Manager / Manager - Role:
Cleaning the property of the Practice as directed in line with current protocol. - Summary:
Responsible for the cleaning of the surgery buildings & property, in line with current guidelines and protocol. Good organisational and interpersonal skills will be required for the role. The ability to multi‑task and to possess the physical capability to engage in manual labour will be beneficial.
Any issues should be reported in the first instance to the Assistant Practice Manager, who will liaise with the Practice Manager as required. The ability to work well with other members of the team and to assist in the training of new staff may also be a requirement of the role.
Description:
General cleaning duties within the surgery as part of the cleaning team will feature. These duties are to be undertaken in line with the Practice cleaning programmes, and with adherence to current protocols. Emptying of Clinical waste bins and filling the hand sanitizer stations.
Be aware of, and work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, thereby working in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform their duties in a professional and competent manner.
Accurate completion of daily cleaning plans for the surgery to demonstrate adherence to current infection control guidelines & CCG directives.
Adhere to the guidance detailed in the Staff Handbook which forms part of the terms and conditions of employment.

- Previous experience working in a cleaning role desirable
