Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised academic and emotional support to students who may face barriers to learning. You’ll work alongside teachers and SEN staff to encourage positive behaviour, improve engagement, and build students’ confidence and resilience.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
• Use behaviour management and de-escalation strategies effectively
• Promote social, emotional, and academic development
• Collaborate with teaching and pastoral teams to deliver tailored support

• Previous experience in an SEMH setting, mental health role, or HMPs
• Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills
• Resilience, patience, and the ability to engage challenging learners

• Daily pay rate of £85 – £100
