Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Job Education & Training Jobs

Overview

We are working closely with a "good" SEND school (Ofsted rating, 2023) in Scunthorpe who require several Teaching Assistants due to exciting expansion and increasing pupil numbers. This is to start asap, long‑term and will become permanent for the right people. The role is full‑time, working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm with pay rates of up to £100 per day.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils aged 11-16 years with special educational needs and complex learning difficulties ranging from mild to severe.
  • Begin in the mild group which is most similar to a mainstream setting and pupils.
  • Move into the more complex groups as you become more comfortable and confident, providing immediate support for any challenging behaviours via radio/walkie‑talkie support request.
  • Provide personal and intimate care when required for pupils with physical needs and challenges.
Compensation

The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm with pay rates of up to £100 per day.
