Salary: £22,222 per annum / £12.21 per hour + benefits

Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire

Job type: Full‑time, Permanent

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Administrator / Conveyancing Administration Assistant within a friendly and supportive Property team.

As an Administrator / Conveyancing Administration Assistant you will support fee earners with file administration, document preparation and excellent client communication.

The role also includes updating records, maintaining accurate filing systems and helping ensure the conveyancing process runs smoothly.

You will use your organisation skills, MS Office ability and attention to detail to provide effective administrative support across the department.

Duties
  • Supporting Conveyancing Files: Assist with the full operation and progression of conveyancing files
  • Opening and Maintaining Files: Open panel and local files, ensuring records remain accurate and fully up to date
  • Document Preparation: Produce correspondence and legal documents through typing and word processing
  • File Management: Handle daily filing, archiving, closing and storing files in line with procedures
  • Mail Handling: Prepare mail and enclosures ready for dispatch
  • Client Contact: Handle telephone enquiries, offering professional and friendly support
  • Liaising with Professionals: Communicate with Solicitors and other professionals to exchange information
  • Self-Development: Take part in training and maintain responsibility for personal development
  • Conveyancing Tasks: Assist with registrations, outstanding completion dates and general queries
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office‑based role
  • Experience with MS Office, including Word and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisation and time‑management abilities
  • A friendly and professional telephone manner
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
